About me

I am a professional translator in love with my profession, travelling, getting to know and hence respect other cultures. My working languages are: Polish (as a mother tongue), English and Portuguese.  Since 2005 I have been living in Portugal where I completed several languages courses allowing me to work with the Portuguese language on a professional basis. I truly believe in a concept of long-life training and take a real pleasure in studying, reading and extending my knowledge. 

Qualifications

Diplomas in the Portuguese language (2007) and French language (2008). Various certificates of attendance from International Conferences on Psychology, Pedagogy, Political Affairs, Child Abuse, Violence at School, etc. (all of them available on request).

Education

 B.A. in English Language Teacher (Specialization: Teaching English as a Foreign Language / American Literature. Institute of Modern Languages, Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Graduation year: 1999. Mark: 4/5)

M.A. in English Studies (Specialization: American and British Literature. University of Silesia, Institute of British and American Literature and Culture, Poland. Graduation year:2002. Mark: 4/5).

Postgraduate Translation Studies (Specialization: Medical and Legal Translation. Department of the English Language, University of Silesia, Poland. Graduation year: 2005. Mark:5/5) 

2005- present: Portuguese language courses at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Lisbon, Portugal) and Universidade de Lisboa (Faculdade de Letras) (Advanced Level: C2)

2007- present: French language courses at French-Portuguese Institute (Alliance Francaise), Lisbon, Portugal (B2).
